Nannas beef stew recipe

Preheat oven to 160C.
Toss meat in flour and season with cracked pepper.
Place in a casserole dish.
Add onions, carrots and potatoes.
Combine water, beef stock, sauces and sugar.
Pour over meat and vegetables.
Add bay leaves.
Mix until combined.
Bake for 2 hours, then remove.
Stir, then bake a further 1 hour.

Ingredient :

1 kg gravy beef cubed
1 cup plain flour to coat
1 pinch pepper
2 onions sliced
2 carrots large sliced
4 potatoes large quartered
4 cups water
4 tsp Massel* Beef Stock Powder, heaped
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tbs sugar
4 bay leaves
